How much does it cost to
add a link?
Nothing. Scotferret.co.uk is funded by advertising and other
services for sale on the site.
I can't find a suitable category for my link,
what should I do?
Go to one of the categories in the directory and use the "suggest
category" link at the bottom of the page to suggest a new
category.
How many times can I add a link?
You can add a link to as many as 3 seperate categories, so long
as your resource is relevant to all of them
What is your emailing policy?
Any email addresses that you give us will be help confidentially
and not passed on to others. You will only receive regular mailings
if you have requested them, otherwise you will receive occasional
(not more than monthly) emailings with information that we feel
may be of relevance to you or your business.
What type of links can be added?
Anything that is relevant to Scotland (it doesn't have to be
in Scotland) that doesn't fall into the "links that can't
be added" category below
What type of links can't be added?
Links to material which is not deemed
to be relevant to Scotland, or which is deemed to be illegal
or offensive in any way. This includes links to sites with racist
or pornographic material.
How can I update my link?
When you register, a user ID and password will be mailed to
you with a link for updates. If you have lost this information,
find your resource in our database and use the "update"
link there to request your password to be mailed to you.
Why should I keep my link up to date?
URL's are checked periodically and those found to be dead on
several occasions are removed.
How can I add comments to links?
You will need to register as a site user to leave comments.
Go to the category of the resource you want to comment on to
find details of how to do this. You can't leave comments on
your own resource!
How can I rate links?
Go to the category of the resource you want to rate to find
details of how to do this. You will only be allowed to rate
a resource once.
I find resources that are linked to from this
site offensive, what can I do?
All links are checked before being added to the directory, and
when they are updated. It is, however impossible to keep track
of whether site content changes or URL's are diverted, and we
will not be liable for links to any illegal material. If you
find something offensive, please let us
know and we will take immediate action.
